Turns out, the issue runs much deeper than anticipated.

She was eventually adopted and raised by her aunt and out of high school studied cosmetology because of her love of hair. Her life was headed along a good path working out of a salon, owning her own townhome and able to meet the demands that life sent, until she got involved with the wrong crowd and served a 4-year stint in prison for being wrongly accused of drug trafficking. Determined to make the most of a bad situation, she obtained her Bachelor's degree while in prison and upon her return home finished her Masters in Human Resource Management. Even with this educational background, she had difficulty obtaining work - in any field.
